“My work is a reflection of deep spirituality, my identity as a black woman and my love of color. When I am creating, I feel more in the presence of God. I want to evoke deep feelings in the viewer, whether it is through the images or colors. Much of my work is mixed media, because it allows me to layer my colors, and to bring my viewers closer to the work. As you experience each layer, you experience my joy”.
